9 content marketing tools that will make your life easier

content-marketing-tools

Last week, I got an email from a colleague asking me for content marketing tools that he can use to boost the content of his website. As I am a bit (too much) well-organised when it comes to marketing strategies and tools, I have been trying some of them and I can recommend the ones that work for me.

Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Content distribution

Share your content across your social media channels and gather data about your progress online. You will receive a weekly report on your progress and your statistics.

Similar to buffer, you will be able to schedule your content across your social media channels. The good thing is that it is also compatible with Google+. I have recently moved from buffer to hootsuite and so far, so good. I will let you know what I think in greater details once that I’m more familiarised with this tool.

Content planning

If you are using wordpress, this plugin is perfect for you. You will be able to organise, plan and schedule all your content. Don’t lose track of your blog posts!

By the way, I have planned a blog post about content planning (ironic, isn’t it?) later on this month and I’ve got a gift for you. But, shhhh! Just stay tuned!

Content research

With Buzzsumo you will be able to know the most effective content on the Internet. You will be able to research influencers and competitors and create alerts to stay always tuned. It’s perfect for researching new ideas for future blog posts.

Apart from Google Analytics, I also use this interesting tool. With Berush, you will be able to research your competitor and see the keyword that they are using in their strategy, analyse their ad campaigns and find out who is linking to your website.

Content organisation

You can create projects and split them into smaller tasks adding content to each of them. It’s perfect to develop new ideas and brainstorm. The best part? You can share projects with colleagues and add content together!

With Evernote, you can organise every article of interest that you can find online. You can also create your own projects and search for images or content that you have previously saved. It’s also very interesting for business meetings as it can easily create presentation out of your notes. The perfect tool for organised people!

Content creation

  • Hemingway App

It’s the perfect app to create dynamic text and edit it. It’s still on its beta version, but it already has a lot of interesting feature. For example, you can see how readable your content is and it will give you some tips on how to improve it.

If you prefer visual content, this is your tool. You will be able to easily create inforgraphics thought a very user-friendly interface.

What about you? What content marketing tools would you add to the list? I would like to hear some suggestion!

Thank you very much David for this extremely helpful post. I was looking for a list like this, so your post came out at the perfect time for me. I just learned of Hootsuite today and it sounds very good. I’ll be sure to save this for future reference and check out all these tools later.
