Happy anniversary, Circa Lingua! We’ve got freebies for you.

circa-lingua-anniversary

The title says it all. It’s been a year since Circa Lingua’s website was born. After a couple of years combining freelance work with different job posts such as language teacher and in-house translator, in July 2014 I decided to give my freelance career a boost and work full-time as a freelance translator and interpreter.

It hasn’t been easy. I still remember having worked until the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes working on my own business, sometimes working against a deadline (it sounds familiar, right?) I had to face people telling me that I was crazy, that I shouldn’t quit my jobs, that this project was very risky. Yet, my wee baby, this little project was born.

Since last year, I have translated 128433 words, interpreted 34 hours in hospitals and business meetings, helped 11 companies to expand their businesses abroad, helped 23 individuals with their documents and collaborated with 11 colleagues and 3 translation agencies. All of this, combined with my masters degree and travelling from France to Spain, and from Spain to UK, where I’m based now.

From Circa Lingua, I try every single day to offer the best services tailoring them to my clients’ needs through the best client service. I put all my efforts in helping businesses both online and offline to expand and develop their business abroad through the translation of their legal, financial and marketing materials and a top-notch content marketing strategy. This has been translated into 100% of my clients that are willing to work with me again.

It’s been a long journey. A journey that wouldn’t have been possible without you all: more than 1400 follower on Twitter, more than 220 fans on Facebook, more than 180 followers on Google +, more than 620 connections on LinkedIn, more than 540 followers on Instagram and more than 40 subscribers in my newsletter. I can’t say thank you enough.

And this is how I want to thank you all

1. We are launching a new Facebook contest!

After the success of my first content, which both winners are still enjoying (if you want to have a nosey, you can have a wee look clicking here), we are giving away a £25 voucher! But hold on… how can you spend this voucher?

  • Translation services: you can get up to 250 words translated for free! This can be a nice discount for that translation project that you had in mind for a while.
  • Copywriting consultation: do you want to assess the Spanish copy of your website and know how it can be improved? With this voucher I will evaluate the Spanish copy of your website for an hour.
  • Design or Translation of your CV: if you want to give your CV a boost by redesigning its layout or getting it translated into a different language, this could be a good discount for your project. You can read more here!
  • Not interested? If you’re the winner of the voucher but aren’t interested in any of these services, you can always drop me a line and let me know how you want to spend it. I’ll try my best to help you out with your project!

My name is David Miralles and I am aware of how languages can influence professional environments. Honing communication between two cultures has become crucial in today’s globalized world. And that is what I do by means of my translation and interpreting services. Small and medium enterprises and individuals can now spread their messages through cultural and linguistic barriers and make a big impact on an international scale.
